Janice

Dark hair framing soft unblemished skin.

That is you,

Unknown.

Dazzled by lights on the Grand Canal,

Seeing and unseeing with thine eyes,

Green,

And cold,

And hard.

Unloving and unknowing,

And understanding not

That I,

With you before

Mine eyes

Must wait impatiently

For they

In the purple mist

On the Grand Canal

I love

You.

Everywhere

You seem to be.

I persevere,

Just as before,

When you were mine

And I

Thine

Before The gods fought.

Return,

I miss

You

Janice.
