Mike Mason

Born a Gemini May 26 1940.

One time Navy Top-Gun, Actor, Poet, Artist, Woodturner, Web designer, Singer, Copywriter and soon-to-be Author.

 

Biography

Educated at Bromsgrove School in the Worcestershire countryside in England, and later at Britannia Royal Naval College, Dartmouth. Served an eight year Commission in the Fleet Air Arm of the Royal Navy as a Buccaneer Observer. Specialised as Air Warfare and Air Weapons Instructor.

1972 - 1989
Emigrated to Rhodesia and served in the Department of Civil Aviation as an Air Traffic Controller. Married in Salisbury in 1981. Later served at Biggin Hill Airport, Johannesburg International and Abu Dhabi as Senior Air Traffic Controller. During this time I developed a keen interest in Theatre, appearing in several plays at Salisbury Repertory Theatre under the direction of Adrian Stanley and serving on the Executive Committee.

1990 - present
Retired from Air Traffic Control. Took up a position at a large private high school in Johannesburg as Network Supervisor and Head of Computer Administration. Retired from this position in December 2005 and relocated to Martindale in the Eastern Cape of South Africa., where we run a wooden furniture and turning business, as well as internet research, web design and copywriting.

Divorced in 2002 and recently (2nd May 2005) married Liz from North Carolina and whom I met on 25th December 2001 on the Internet. Liz and I have a small farm at Martindale in the Bathurst area of the Eastern Cape, where we run a wooden furniture and turning business, as well as internet research, web design and copywriting. .

I have a 25 year-old daughter, Julie Anne, married to Jake and living in New Hampshire, USA and recently blessed with a beautiful daughter, Grace Mae and a son, Owen Michael, and a 32 year-old son, Michael jnr., who climbs anything tall and vertical.

This Classic 1980 Mercedes 450 slc automatic is in beautiful condition with just a little wear on the driver's seat. The car has alloy wheels, power steering, a/c, electric windows, 10 disk CD player, original radio/tape, sun roof, car phone, cruise control, tow hitch, spot lights, immobiliser, first aid kit (original).
